National Voter Registration Day

September 22

National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday celebrating our democracy. First observed in 2012, it has quickly gained momentum ever since. Nearly 3 million voters have registered to vote on the holiday to date. Celebrated on the fourth Tuesday of September, National Voter Registration Day will next take place on September 22, 2020.

Voter registration is more important than ever as states shift policies to respond to COVID-19. At the same time, social distancing prevents many voters from getting registered in their communities, at DMVs, and more. SEIU members across the country will help to register voters on September 22.

National Vote Early Day

October 24

Did you know most voters can cast their ballot prior to Election Day? SEIU members will get the word out that nearly all voters can cast their ballots early, and well before, November 3. National Vote Early Day is a movement of nonprofits, media companies, election administrators, and creatives working to ensure all Americans know their options to vote early. By voting early, voters avoid lines and take pressure off of Election Day polling locations that are stressed from the demands of COVID-19.

Join us on October 24 as we head into the final days of getting out the vote and making sure our communities are voting early!
