Joe Sestak served two terms in Congress from Pennsylvania between 2007 and 2011.
Supports achieving universal health coverage through a public option that would co-exist with employer-sponsored and other private insurance, and that would act as a transition to a national healthcare system.
Supports a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants if they pay back taxes, pass criminal background checks, prove gainful employment, and pass a basic English language test. He believes America needs to “secure our borders with smart technology” while increasing visas for high skilled immigrants, improving due process for asylum seekers, ending family separation and inhumane detention conditions, and addressing the root causes of migration from the Northern Triangle countries.
Supports rejoining the Paris Agreement, eliminating subsidies for the fossil fuel industry, and implementing a fee for carbon polluters to address climate change.

Sestak voted for the Affordable Care Act in Congress and now has a plan to expand coverage for more Americans, lower overall costs, and improve access to mental health services.
