He proposes to work with experts, immigrant advocates, and the Mexican government to address southern border security.

At the Democratic debate, Yang said, "If you go to a factory here in Michigan, you will not find wall-to-wall immigrants, you will find wall-to-wall robots and machines. Immigrants are being scapegoated for issues they have nothing to do within our economy."
Yang rallied supporters behind his proposed “freedom dividend” that would provide a $1000 per month universal basic income. "There is nothing stopping a majority of citizens in a democracy from voting ourselves a dividend — nothing at all," Yang said.
Yang’s plan, also known as universal basic income, would guarantee every American $1000 each month.
